Electrophysiologic Study

Intracardiac  electrophysiology study (EPS) is a test that helps to evaluate arrhythmias. The study involves placing wire electrodes within the heart to measure electrical activity along the heartís conduction system and within heart muscle cells themselves.  This test allows doctors to diagnose and treat arrhythmias, either with medications or  curative ablation techniques.
